Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Major in Business Analytics

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Business Analytics (BS IT) is a four-year degree program that prepares students to be IT professionals, well-versed in IT infrastructure and administration, software development as well as an expert on system design and implementation. The program utilized computers and computer software to plan, install, customize, administer and manage information systems. As a Business Analytics major, it prepares students necessary skills to become a business analyst, which is becoming more strongly intertwined and are essential components of the modern enterprise. Most modern organizations use computer systems to manage data and operations, analyze data, and support operational decision-making. Most business information systems currently being developed include not only aspects of data management and online transactions, but also sophisticated data analysis and often aspects of decision support – that is, helping organizations to make better decisions, or in some cases automating operational-level decision making.
