CMU is one with the City Government of Malabon in fighting malnutrition!
Commencing the Nutrition Month celebration, CMU University President and Malabon City Mayor, Antolin “LenLen” Oreta III along with his fellow local government officials have talked about the issues of malnutrition in the country in a group discussion titled “Dialogue with Local Chief Executives: Enabling Nutrition Devolution” yesterday.
Mayor Oreta who was invited to speak about the best practices in Malabon to decrease the malnutrition rate in the city has talked about his program Karinderia Para sa Kalusugan ni Chikiting (KKC), which was in partnership with Malabonian Karinderia owners who prepare nutritious food for malnourished children and pregnant women. He also stressed the importance of the First 1000 Days of Life Ordinance he implemented in the city and the benefits for the Barangay Nutrition Scholars.
