CMU President Dr. Glen De Leon and Prof. Jeffrey Benesisto, Quality Assurance Director, joined DepEd and CHEd Officials, Presidents of State and Local Universities and Colleges, and other sector representatives in the soft-launch of DSWD Tara BASA! Tutoring Program, led by DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian.

The DSWD Tara BASA! Tutoring Program is designed to actively involve college students in providing assistance to challenged readers enrolled in public elementary schools. By participating in this program, college students have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational journey of these students. They will serve as tutors, offering personalized guidance and support to help improve the reading skills of these young learners. Through this initiative, college students can contribute their knowledge and expertise to enhance the literacy levels of the students, fostering a stronger educational foundation for their future.
