The City of Malabon University’s Bids and Awards Committee Secretariat, Accounting, Treasury, and Human Resource Management Department actively participated in a two-day seminar titled “Government Transactions: Procurement, PPE Guidelines & Cleansing, Omnibus Rule on Leave.” The event took place at Hotel Ariana in Bauang, La Union, on October 19-20, 2023. The seminar was organized by the Government Association of Certified Public Accountants (GACPA) La Union Chapter in collaboration with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) La Union Chapter.
Our participants, Prof. Jefferson R. Cruz (Director, Finance Services/University Accountant), Ms. Marinell Yukie Bautista (HRMO Coordinator), Ms. Romelda Salvacion (Treasury Staff), Ms. Gracielle Andrea De Guzman (Accounting Staff), and Ms. Janet Marquez (BAC Secretariat), embraced the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills.
Key highlights of the seminar included:
– Requirements for the Procurement of Goods and Services, Infrastructure Projects, and Consulting Services by Dir. Ryan A. Milanes.
– Guidelines and Procedures for the One-Time Cleansing of PPE Account Balances of Government Agencies, presented by Ms. Alma L. Luna (Supervising Auditor, COA RO1).
– A comprehensive overview of the Omnibus Rule on Leave by Mr. Gerald Erwin P. Abaya (Senior Human Resource Specialist, CSC RO 1).
