Bachelor of Arts in Journalism
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This degree prepares students for a variety of media-related careers by teaching them about the concepts and skills used in print, broadcast, and web-based journalism. Students gain hands-on experience in researching, developing, and editing news pieces. Students additionally learn about the legal and ethical issues they may face as journalists. Most degree programs also emphasize the early history of journalism and the evolving role that media plays in democratic and other societies.
