Professional Education Program (Prod Ed)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
In compliance with Republic Act 7836 and with Article II of CMO 30, s. 2004, graduates of non-education degrees shall take 18 units of Professional Education Courses and 12 units of experiential learning. In Education, a cluster of special topic courses are required as part of the professional education courses.
Professional Education courses should be taught in an integrated manner, discussions of theory and concepts should always be linked to the development of methods and strategies and to the experiential learning during field study and vice versa.
All the courses should be taught using a wide range of learning- teaching approaches and student assessment procedures, including whatever possible the use of some educational technology.
All Professional Education courses should have a research requirement, which may take a form of a term paper, case study, action research, and other forms of research.
