The first-ever TALAKAYAN 2021 of Personnel Officers Association of the Philippines, Inc. (POAP) in coordination with City of Malabon University (CMU) as this year’s host was successfully held last Wednesday, September 29th.
This year’s theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future Ready Servant Heroes” was tackled through various talks rendered by Guest Speakers Hon. Corazon Alma De Leon, Former Chairman, Civil Service Commission and Former Secretary, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Atty. Alex L. Lacson a former chairman of CSC’s multi-sector advisory council, and Prof. Buenalyn Teresita Ramos Mortel, Chairman of Department of Health Promotion and Education, UP College of Public Health.
POAP aims to foster active interest in public personnel management or human resource management. It serves as a clearing-house for information on relevant personnel management/ HRM methods and techniques. It hopes to safeguard and vitalize the merit principle in the government service through the development of a corps of well-informed, forward- looking, and responsible personnel management/ HRM officers, administrators and practitioners.
