Events The CMU Post
For the last day of the student orientation session, the College of Arts and Sciences convened its orientation on January 12, Thursday, at Malabon Sports Complex led by Dr. Arnel Basilio, dean of CAS.
To start off orientation proper, all colleges, university administrators, and faculty members are introduced and acknowledged. Following his welcoming remarks, Dr. Glen DV De Leon, the OIC-President and concurrent Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) unveiled the new CMU vision, mission, and goals for the City of Malabon University. In addition to this, Hon. Nadja Vicencio, Chairman on the Committee on Education, and Hon. Ricky Sandoval also expressed their motivational speech to enliven the event.
Mr. Prince Estrella, a representative of the Prefect of Student Organization, and Dr. Lucilia Bondoc, the General Education Coordinator, then went on to discuss the academic policies, covering the grading scale, the authorized withdrawal policy, the leave of absence policy, the affidavit of the undertaking, and the educational assistance that the CMU can provide to its students.
To wrap up the event, Hon Mayor Jeannie Sandoval gave her closing remarks and was greeted by the CMU officials, students, and staff for her birthday on January 14.
