Freshmen enrolled in NSTP2 from several colleges had gathered on January 29, 2023, Sunday, at the CMU quadrangle for their orientation. Before the orientation proper, keynote speaker, Dr. Glen DV. De Leon, CPA, OIC-University President and the concurrent Vice President for Academic Affairs gave his motivational speech in which he emphasized the value and importance of community service, and how this program affects the community holistically, that as a youth, all students enrolled in this course subject are the future builders and the ‘hope’ of the nation.
Following this, faculty personnel from the NSTP Department, training personnel, and CMU’s new Commandant for the ROTC Unit, Mr. Maj Henry A. Pang-Ay (INF), PA was introduced to lead and guide the ROTC unit.
